Like I always say talk to your doctor before going the supplement route. I couldn't possibly comment on a product I have never seen but do worry about the increased emphasis appearing on this forum for supplements many of which could, be ill advised for some members.

Thanks Bob. I usually just stick to the stuff I was on when I started warfarin. Multivitamins + probiotics, omega three and plant sterols. Not too sure I need any of them but as I am in good form at present - reluctant to stop!!!

Was just interested in the above after reading of mag sulph baths to improve Mg levels on here.

Even if convinced would ask medical bod first

I'd be a little sceptical - they don't even say what kind of magnesium is being used and bioavailability of different types of magnesium can vary wildly. If it costs more I'd save your money and use something like this ancient-minerals.com/produc... which is quick spray and leave on every morning. It has vastly superior absorption rates to supplements...

And I agree - I would not give up something just because my Dr may not be familiar with it. I began supplementing in January with magnesium and have never felt better.

If our health professionals were adequately trained in how to manage our health with natural alternatives - which they readily admit they are not - instead of just a prescription pad and toxic drugs it would be fantastic.

There can't be any harm in that at all Bagrat.

Even the NHS guidelines say to take up to 400mg of Mag.

My research suggests that normal water filters remove the magnesium, which may not be ideal for us, although we do benefit from the other things removed, (which also includes calcium) I have found no mention of how much magnesium is removed. On the other hand, this jug adds only about 4mg of magnesium per glass of water, assuming the claims made for it are valid. Is this worth it? 10 glasses a day would increase our intake by about 40mg, and we are recommended to need 300mg and more. My conclusion: If I wanted to buy a new filter jug, I would consider it, but not otherwise.
