Testing for mould

I have just found mould under a picture above my bed.. with this awful non stop rain.. we have had a leak in the roof and I can hear dripping in the cavities.

This has been going on for months!

I am coughing when I wake up in the mornings and going to bed,

I would like to do a mould test, and appreciate any recommendations x

I have a mold allergy since having a silent leak in my house a few years ago. Have become very sensitive since. Ours was a leak from the bath, a bit unbelievable. Whomever installed the bath in the first place didn't connect the pipe leading to the bath overflow to the outside, so if water got in the overflow... It dripped down the wall cavity!

I don't know anything about testing for mold, but I'd definitely get the source of the damp fixed and the inner cavity (maybe outer too, ask expert) sprayed to kill mold after source is stopped.

It only takes a bit of mold on the breeze to set off symptoms for me. So I'd take that very seriously.

I know the feeling. If my husband doesn't get affected by something he doesn't understand how others are.
