Citalopram and Butec patches prescribed by Doctor.

Does anyone else take the above combination, it worries me as there is suppose to be a a major interaction between the two, the doctor says I will be fine but I am very tired all the time and no energy at all.

Hi , I was on Citalopram & Butec patches for over 10 years but weaned myself off the patches until earlier this year when my spinal stenosis deteriorated. I am now on Vortioxetene as I don't think Citalopram was working anymore . I do feel a bit tired but am not complaining as I went nearly 10 years of not sleeping well since I had a spinal , laminectomy , decompression & fusion in 2013. It's great sleeping through the night instead of constantly tossing & turning or reading most of the night .

Hi, what doses are you taking of the two drugs? I think the is always interaction between opioids and serotonin medications but it depends on the person if they will get side effects yes the combination raises the risk of side effects it won’t necessarily cause side effects if that makes sense x

I’m on 15mg Citalopram and &10mg BuTec patches

,I’m reducing my citalopram down to 10mg.
