Hi Tabella,When I inject my Kevzara into my thigh I don’t pinch the skin at all. I sit and stretch my leg out and relax the muscle in the top of my thigh and then inject. I don’t get any lumps or redness. You could try that method. Colin
I'm on etanercept, I think it's the same as benepali. I get a red lump after injection, it's an allergic reaction, get hydrocortisone cream from the chemist that should settle it down.
I don't pinch the skin just stretch my leg and try relax.
My benepali actually advises the opposite , to stretch out the skin whist administering. I don’t do mine In my thigh, as I got some large red reactions and found them more painful. So I just alternate sides of my stomach. Sounds like the fluid has collected, it will disperse eventually
Stretching out the skin is a more usual technique, but either way you may get a local reaction to the injection - which is the red lump. It goes down again, so it doesn't matter much. Hydrocortisone would help if it's painful.
I pinch when I inject my benepali, after 18 months of doing this im just starting to get injection reaction on my belly so will try the stretch way, although I think it might hurt more doing it this way.
Doing it tonight so will see. Hope your lumps goes soon, thanks for posting this x
