For the past 3 days I have been suffering from severe hives and angioedema that I believe may be related to covid-19 since I also was coughing and had a fever. I didn't get tested because I just was too sick to leave the house. I tried 4 different antihistamines...hydroxyzine, diphenhydramine, allegra and fenfoxadine...they did absolutely nothing. I read that pepcid could help with hives because it is a H2 receptor antagonist. To be honest I did not think that it was going to help but literally 30 minutes after taking that pill all of my hives disappeared. I did more research on Pepcid and saw that there is quite a bit of information out there that it can help a lot with covid-19 symptoms. Anyway, I thought about all the people on this board that deal with the itches that can come with MPNs and thought that maybe this is something that you could try to help. It's worth a try!

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing.
Please do get tested and be sure you get the care you need. You will be in thoughts and prayers. I hope you feel better soon.
I use Zyrtec in combination with Pepcid AC prior to showering in order to minimize itching afterwards. I'll use Zyrtec when I suddenly have onset of itching that does not go away by itself after about a hour.
