I don’t care which supplement is working.

I feel awesome; the combo could be placebo.

Today I took:

- 2 scoops of Inulin and a Probiotic first thing in the morning. My whole body felt tingly for 45 minutes. (Tingly may be the wrong word, it wasn’t unpleasant, more like a glow.)

- Hour later: 1 Neurogan’s Urolithin A 700mg, 1 Fatty15, 1-1/2tab C/L, 1/4tab of 5mg Alinamin F (Why not 1 every 4 days? I had an anxiety attack on 1/2tab; Taking a break on B1 hcl oral).

This is my second day of Neurogan’s, I have run out of the mitopure’s (500mg dose). [Neurogan is 3rd party tested, mitopure (I wrote what makes your better than other brand? They replied, High quality (I questioned after opening the Neurogan because theirs is 1 medium size cap and mitopure is 2 huge jell caps)]

I was taking 5tab of C/L (2am, 2midday, 1-1/2pm). [I have accidentally missed a dose 4 times in the past 84 days with no ill effects; I have been running a low grade fever for the last week about an hour after my midday dose; OK, fever isn’t one of the Googled side effects of too much Levodopa, but I took 2 NACs and my fever went away; you are not supposed to quit or reduce C/L suddenly, but I figure that really applies because of a change of dopamine in brain (I am not a doctor)].

- I took spermidine with meds with a meal. And, I plan to take C/L (1-1/2midday, 1-1/2pm).

Continuation of healthunlocked.com/cure-par...

I have been told I have a tendency to carry on about nothing and put in too much detail. Sorry…

I am probably reacting to ideas in my head too quickly (Brain Storming with myself and with a touch of OCD (Obsessive-compulsive disorder); but isn’t OCD a symptom of too much dopamine in the brain? I am Guilty… of tying to come to an open-minded objective “On a Wing and a Prayer”… With the Good Lord willing, I am Praying, I will…

Google says, an open-minded objective is an objective approach to new ideas that is receptive and free of bias. It involves being willing to listen to other points of view, challenge assumptions, and admit what you don't know.

I welcome your experience with Inulin and a Probiotic, Urolithin A, Spermidine and PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide) with or without Luteolin>

How long have you had PD for?

What strain(s) of bacteria in the probiotic do you know?

I'm using what Art ( chartist ) suggested in healthunlocked.com/cure-par...

There's 24 strains, 300 billion, plus prebiotics.... in it. Also using using the suggested Inulin.

I wonder which one(s) of the 24 produce B1?

A Google search for “What proboitic produces B1”, reveals: Some intestinal microbiota can produce vitamin B1, such as Bacteroides fragilis, Prevotella, Fusobacterium varium, Actinobacteria, and Clostridium

What I am taking says B fragilis M63 (I can not find a searchable data base for product).

I reworded that search [What probiotic produces thiamine] results were:

Lactobacillus casei produces thiamine during the production of fermented milk drinks. Other intestinal microbiota that can produce vitamin B1 include:

Bacteroides fragilis, Prevotella, Fusobacterium varium, Actinobacteria, Clostridium, Bifidobacterium infantis, and B. bifidum

Not saying B1 is most important for PD....

Thanks,

I am more interested in your personal results. I have read a lot of literature on supplements, that I take. I wish I could say I retained most of it, but in truth just a small fraction of.

I had the low grade fever again today. So, I don't believe it was the levodopa. I will give the 4-1/2 C/L another day or two.

I took probiotic PS128 for over four months, it is called gut to brain probiotic, treat constipation well.

For Levodopa, I took Sinemet for over 5 years, got dystonia & dyskinesia badly after I had it 4.5 years. Now, I am drying to have Mucuna Prurience instead of Sinemet, but, Mucuna causes nausea, need take other supplements such as Neuro Replete to reduce the nausea, this must be under doctor's consultation.

Google search: PS128 is a* Lactobacillus plantarum. / Lactobacilli are capable of producing compounds such as bacteriocins, antibiotics and vitamins including those belonging to the B-group (B3, B6 and B9; no mention of B1).

* My understanding is different strains of a Probiotic don't necessary have the same properties.

Has Mucuna helped with your dystonia & dyskinesia?

Glad you feel awesome. Always nice when you find the right combo.

Stay positive.

As I stated in one of the post, I am going to be very disappointed; if I can't reduce my C/L and all that happens is I reduce very cheap B1.

Husband's neurologist reduced his RX of C/L a few months ago. Now he isn't walking correctly with his walker - festinating.

Is your doctor aware you want to reduce your C/L?

My MDS is aware that I adjust my C/L.... She is the one that prescribed.... She has written prescriptions for as high as 13 a day (current 5-1/2). I have aslo provide her a list of supplements I that. All she has replied when I ask about one is "If it helps fine".

13 RX is high. Good your doctor is aware.

I agree, I am now taking 5-1/2 a day. I am praying with what I am taking I will be able to reduce.

My MDS says chemically Levodopa is the same as Mucuna. That is not saying their isn't something in Mucuna that is also effective against PD.

5/20/24: I am Freaking Out. My depth perception is messed up. My eyesight is being processed by my brain as — everything seems bigger and clearer. Things far away seem nearer, but standing, my feet seem 12 feet away — needless to say, my balance to terrible. I can read my computer screen without my glasses (still a little blurry). It’s been that way since waking up this morning. My depth perception is now starting to improve. I am about to go for my morning walk. I am not going to wear my glasses. Hopefully, depth perception will improve.
