Your husband should have a pre-procedure interview with one of the cardio team prior to the angiogram which will happen a few days before the appointment, during which they confirm basic patient details including medication, and they will confirm if they want any medication to be stopped and for how long, and anything else relevant such as not driving after discharge for 24 hours. Certainly if a stent is fitted then the DVLA instruct you should not drive at all for 7 days. In my case I was asked to stop aspirin, and I had to be collected and seen to be collected from the hospital, although these requirements may vary from unit to unit. If you are not sure about this I suggest you contact the cardio team you are dealing with and ask them to advise on their arrangements prior to the angiogram.
