Mildly increased LVEDV and Atacand prescription

Hi All,

I hope someone can offer some advice and on this...

I have a bicuspid aortic valve with moderate regurgitation and all echo measurements have been normal and stable over the past couple of years. I had an MRI last week and it shows a slightly increased LVEDV of 195ml (112ml/m2).

My BP is fine (115/65) but my cardiologist has recommended I start taking Atacand at a low dosage to decrease my LV volume to within normal limits.

Does anyone else have any similar experiences or advice?

Thanks in advance!
